Publications Specialist

Sarah has worked in the areas of documentation, training, education, research, customer service, marketing, and management. Her experience includes a wide variety of subjects and a diverse group of clients. As a member of Expert Support's production staff, Sarah specializes in the following:

• Developmental and copy editing
• Indexing
• Document conversion and template work
• Trademarking and terminology
• Foreign language documentation
• Presentations
• PC hardware and troubleshooting

Sarah is proficient on Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX platforms and is a skilled user of FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, StarOffice, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other applications.

Before coming to work for Expert Support, Sarah was a member of the documentation team at Coryphaeus Software, working with real-time animation, product testing, indexing, and general production work.

Sarah has developed course materials and presented courses in effective management, customer service, policy, food service, Kaizen, mythology, and ancient literature at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her academic background includes a Masters in Latin and Classics, along with studies in folklore, historiography, etymology, linguistics, and several foreign languages.

Current activities outside of work include painting—silk, canvas, walls, whatever she can get her brushes on. She is constantly researching and planning home improvement projects (and even finishes a few) and looks forward to the day when she can buy a real house and set up a carpentry shop. Sarah practices photography, experiments with food, and dreams of being a Nielsen family. She pet-sits for friends' animals until she has space for a couple big dogs of her own.
