PLATINUM technology, inc." supports IT organizations by partnering with CIOs to manage and improve business software operations." Expert Support began providing training development and documentation services to Trinzic in 1993. When Trinzic was acquired by PLATINUM technology in 1996, becoming their Redwood City Development Lab, we continued to develop training materials for several software products. The products we have worked on include: AionDSPLATINUM AionDS is a complete application development environment that automates complex, mission-critical business processes by combining state-of-the-art rules-based technology with object-oriented programming. The AionDS inference engine encapsulates business rules and policies so they are easier to modify and maintain. Expert Support developed three courses for the AionDS product:
We developed all course materials, including original sample applications, student workbooks, slide presentations, and instructor guides for both the character-based and graphical user interface versions of AionDS running on Microsoft Windows 3.1. When the AionDS product was re-released with new functionality, we were invited back to update the training materials and to port them to UNIX and to Windows 95. We also assisted in the development of AionDS documentation. ObjectProPLATINUM ObjectPro is an object-oriented application development system that supports a wide array of deployment options, including fully distributed CORBA-based applications, Netscape Plugins, and ActiveX controls. Of all the object-oriented development tools available, ObjectPro enables the highest degree of application component reuse, with support for objects created in other languages including VBXs, OCXs, and DLLs. Expert Support developed the course materials for the first two releases of ObjectPro. Introduction to ObjectPro is a 3-day course that discusses object-oriented concepts and client/server architecture, and sets the stage for building and using Object Pro application components. The class also explains how to be prepared for using the graphical development environment to implement a real application. We developed all course materials, including original sample applications, student workbooks, slide presentations, and instructor guides for both ObjectPro 1.0 and ObjectPro 2.0. |
