Senior Software Engineer
and UNIX System Administrator
Larry has a diverse background
with over 14 years of experience in UNIX system administration,
application development, network management and system integration.
He currently provides consultation services for software configuration
management and network administration.
Recent software configuration
management projects Larry has completed involved automating software
build procedures with Make, Imake and Atria ClearCase; creation
of software installation and QA tools, using perl and shell scripts.
Recent network administration projects involved PC, UNIX and NT
workstation and server integration, network management, electronic
mail, establishing network backup strategies and routine system
administration.
Other consulting services
Larry has provided were porting UNIX applications and customer support.
NT, Solaris, IBM AIX, HP-UX, and Apollo Domain OS are just a few
of the operating systems to which he has ported applications and
provided system administration services. While working as a design
engineer at Calma, he became interested in engineering workstations
and network computing; this led Larry to become a System Engineer
for Apollo Computer, where he ported over thirty engineering, scientific,
and business applications to the Apollo workstations. He also provided
system administration and engineering consulting services to HP/Apollo
customers, among them, Meta-Software, which later recruited him
as their System and Product Release Manager. With his experience
and knowledge, Larry can establish and maintain a company's software
and computing infrastructure.
