Senior Technical Writer
Over the last 30 years, Tom has had extensive experience with
MPE/XL, HP-UX, and Linux system software, particularly in system
kernels, network file systems, and overall system performance.
He helped develop and document HP's first multiprocessor OS, and
later helped support the global on-line documentation for the Linux
version of NFS, while serving as a director for the West Coast
office of a Linux consulting company. During this time, he has also
published many papers, covering various aspects of these systems,
such as kernel algorithms, network behavior, system performance,
high-availability clusters, and last, but not least, the HP 41C
calculator.
