What Documents Are Required For A Joint Account?

To open a joint account, please follow the steps below:

  • Request for Joint Account Creation
  • The client should send an official email from their registered email address requesting the creation of the joint account.
  • Marriage Certificate
  • A valid marriage certificate is required for married individuals.
  • Individual Accounts and KYC Requirements
  • Both parties must open individual accounts and complete the full account opening process, including providing the necessary KYC documents (Proof of Identity and Proof of Residence).
  • Power of Attorney
  • Once both individual accounts are created, we will email the clients requesting them to sign the attached Power of Attorney document. Both parties must sign the document.
  • Confirmation of Joint Account Details
  • When sending back the signed Power of Attorney, the client should specify in the email which of the individual accounts should be designated as the joint account. The account selected will have its name changed to: Joint A/C: Client Name 1 & Client Name 2, and a note will be added accordingly.
  • Final Steps
  • After receiving all the required documents and making the necessary updates, we will send a confirmation email to inform you that the joint account is ready.

Note: Once both create an account and it is verified, we will send an email requesting them to sign the Power of Attorney, provide the marriage certificate, and specify which email they would like to use for the joint account.
