Where Can I Find Platform Logs For Troubleshooting?

You can find platform logs for troubleshooting in the following locations on both MT4 and MT5:

Desktop(MT4and MT5):

  • Open the Platform: Launch your MT4/MT5 terminal.
  • Access Data Folder: In the top menu, click File -> Open Data Folder.
  • Locate Logs Folder:
  • Platform Logs: Open the Logs folder for general, day-to-day terminal actions.
  • Expert Advisor (EA) Logs: Go to MQL4 -> Logs (for MT4) or MQL5 -> Logs (for MT5) for robot-specific activity.

Android (MT4 and MT5)

  • Open the MetaTrader app and tap the Menu icon (top-left corner).
  • Select Journal (sometimes found inside the Settings menu).
  • Tap the Calendar icon (top-right) to select the date of the log you wish to view.
  • Tap the Mail icon to send the log file via email to yourself or support.

iOS (iPhone/iPad - MT4 and MT5)

  • Open the app and tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
  • Select Journal.
  • Switch between dates using the arrows at the bottom of the window.
  • Tap the Share icon (top-right) to email the log file.
